Mate tea is a tea made from the leaves of the Ilex Paraguariensis (Yerba Mate), a shrub that originally grows in southern regions of South America.

Mate combines the effects of tea (teophylin), chocolate (theobromine) and coffee (caffeine). A mug contains as much caffeine as coffee. However, the effect begins more gently and lasts longer. You are more concentrated and your well-being is increased.
Mate contains many important vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Mate also stimulates digestion and fat burning. Mate also prevents diseases due to its anti-inflammatory effect.
